Privacy and data use
This page covers the Chronoid integration for ChatGPT. Last updated September 11, 2026.
What you share
When you connect Chronoid, you give ChatGPT read access to requested reports and tracked activity from your Mac. Results may include app names, window or document titles, website URLs, project names, time ranges, durations and billing information. This connection cannot create, edit or delete your Chronoid data.
Requests from ChatGPT and the results needed to answer them pass through Chronoid’s relay on Cloudflare. Your activity database stays on your Mac. The relay does not store activity history or the contents of tool requests and responses.
Connection records
The relay stores a hashed device routing identifier, hashes of authorization credentials, expiration times, and temporary information needed to complete the connection. These records let the relay send a request to the correct Mac and check whether access is still authorized. The Mac’s device credential is not stored in these records.
Unfinished connection invitations expire after ten minutes. Authorization codes expire after one minute. Access tokens last up to one hour. Refresh tokens rotate when used, and each connection expires after thirty days unless you connect again. Expired records are deleted from active storage. Cloudflare’s recovery backups may retain earlier versions for up to thirty days.
Cookies and infrastructure
The connection page uses an essential, secure cookie to bind approval to the browser that started the connection. It expires after ten minutes or is removed when the connection is completed. These pages do not include advertising or analytics scripts. Authorization requests are rate limited using the source IP address. Automatic request logging is disabled for this relay; Cloudflare processes network information to operate and protect its infrastructure.
Disconnecting and deletion
Disconnect Chronoid in ChatGPT to revoke its authorization. You can also regenerate the connector URL in Chronoid under Settings → Integrations → AI Connectors to detach all existing connections from your Mac. Turning AI connectors off stops remote access while the setting is off. Your local activity is managed separately in Chronoid.
Disconnecting cannot remove information already shared in a ChatGPT conversation. Manage that information through ChatGPT’s data controls. OpenAI’s handling of shared information is covered by its privacy policy.
Contact
For privacy questions or help managing a connection, email support@chronoid.app. Do not email your connector URL, access tokens or private activity reports.
